Third Amalthrea piece and the best one yet

I keep coming back because the construction is consistent. Clean seams, proper lining, nothing that feels rushed. This one in particular gets more reaction than anything else I own, and it is comfortable enough that I forget I am wearing something this dramatic. Storage takes up half a closet rod, so plan for that.

Heavier than expected in the best way

The listing photos made me think this would be flimsy and it is the opposite. There is real weight to the layers so it hangs properly instead of floating around. Took two days to arrive which I was not expecting at all.

Sizing help made the difference

Wrote in about the waist measurement because I am long in the torso and got a real answer back within a day. Ended up sizing up and having the waist taken in an inch, which my tailor said was the easy direction to go. Fits like it was made for me now.

Ordered on a whim and kept it

Bought this without much of a plan, just liked it enough to click. Ended up wearing it to a friend's engagement dinner two weeks later. The bodice is stiffer than it looks in photos, which is what keeps the whole thing sitting where it should. No wardrobe tape needed.

My pageant dress and it did the job

Wore this for my titleholder appearances and the sash sits well over the bodice without pulling it down, which was my main worry. Photographs really well against brick and outdoors in the evening. Came folded in tissue in a sturdy box and needed almost no steaming.
